We tried this recipe on Tuesday night and it turned out great. I just found it at allrecipes.com
2 quarts half and half cream
1/2 pint heavy cream
2 cups white sugar
4 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Combine half and half, cream, sugar, vanilla and salt. Mix until sugar is dissolved. (one of the reviews for the recipe suggested mixing 1 quart of half and half with the sugar in a saucepan on low heat until the sugar dissolved so the ice cream wouldn't turn out grainy.) Store mixture in your ice cream maker container in the fridge until ready to mix/freeze/make.
We added crushed mint oreo cookies right before I turned the mixer on.
